CPE 1 - This graduate course unit seeks to develop students’ awareness of the dynamics operating in pastoral ministry by encouraging them to become reflective practitioners. The focus of this first CPE unit is on developing pastoral identity and the practice of theological reflection. 

CPE 2 -  This graduate course unit seeks to build on the first Foundational unit of Clinical Pastoral Education by facilitating a deepened awareness of the dynamics operating in pastoral ministry and a greater appreciation of the reflective process. Students are also introduced to spiritual assessments and the development of Pastoral Care Plans.  

CPE 3 - This graduate course unit builds on the previous units of Clinical Pastoral Education. This course unit seeks to further develop trainees’ awareness of the pastoral dynamics in a specialised area of ministry. This is achieved by reflection on and reading about the particular area of ministry specialisation. Spiritual assessment and pastoral plans are featured.

This graduate unit will enable the student to understand the theological dimension of pastoral and supervisory practice and develop a theology of Pastoral Supervision.  It also seeks to equip the student to educate others in the practice of theological reflection.
